Food, cosmetics, and healthcare products QC Laboratory transferred to Food and Medicine Vice-Presidency of Abadan University of Medical Sciences
Food and Medicine Deputy of Abadan University of Medical Sciences said: ‘Arvand Free Zone has transferred the ownership of its food, cosmetics, and healthcare products QC Laboratory to the Food and Medicine Vice-Presidency of Abadan University of Medical Sciences.’

In an interview with a Webda correspondent, Dr. Hoda Mojiri asserted that the aim of this laboratory is securing and promoting the general health of the locals, running various tests to confirm the safety of the products, increasing the satisfaction, improving the standard of living in the zone, and curtailing the rate of violations in the area of food, drugs, and healthcare products.

This laboratory is obligated to deploy and install quality control systems in companies producing foodstuff, cosmetics, and healthcare products, she said.

Food and Medicine Deputy of Abadan University of Medical Sciences explained that in this laboratory, the products of the companies go through tests on distribution, importing, and exporting scales. These tests are conducted in full compliance with the requirements of Iran Food and Drug Administration and Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran, she added.

Dr. Mojiri said the main specialized units of this laboratory include Specimen Unit, Microbiology Lab., Food and Beverages Lab., Cosmetics and Healthcare Products Lab., and Heavy Metal Lab. This laboratory also has Toxicology Lab. and Quality Control Unit as its parts, she added.
