41 new specialists join Abadan University of Medical Sciences.
The inauguration ceremony of 41 new specialists was held a few minutes ago in Abadan Karvansara Pars Hotel.
In this ceremony, Dr. Shokrollah Salmanzadeh, President of Abadan University of Medical Sciences, told a Webda correspondent: ‘Twelve specialists in Shadegan, another twelve in Abadan, and seventeen specialists in Khorramshahr will soon start their medical practice in order to enhance the quality of medical services in the region.’
These new physicians are specialists in orthopedics, pathology, neurology, internal medicine, infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, anesthesia, dermatology, general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, radiology, psychiatry, gynecology, accident and emergency, pediatrics, and otolaryngology (ENT), he added.
Mentioning 5 specialists will join Abadan University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Salmanzadeh said, the said physicians will practice in endocrinology, kidney diseases, hematology, cancer, child lung illnesses.
These specialists may serve as faculty members of Abadan University of Medical Sciences so as to offer their services in education, added Dr. Salmanzadeh.
Pointing out that the addition of these new specialists and the rise in the number of hospitals and clinics will improve the quality of services to patients, Dr. Salmanzadeh said: ‘I think Ayatollah Taleqani Hospital will be operational in the middle of next year in Abadan, and at the same time, 2 other construction projects in Khorramshahr are underway.’
Dr. Salmanzadeh said, the Heart Surgery Subspecialty Hospital of Khorramshahr is currently under construction, and we hope it will be operational in the first six months of the next year; additionally, Khorramshahr’s Shahid Mousavi Hospital will go under construction within 1 or 2 months, and, hopefully, it will be operational in 2020.
